Richard C. Charmack
Software Development Engineer
Rich Charmack’s professional experience includes software development,
CAD training, database integration, mechanical design, AutoLISP and
Visual Basic programming, and curriculum development.
Rich began his professional career by attaining a degree in Computer
Aided Design Technology from the University of Advancing Computer Technology
and a degree in Specialized Technology Drafting and Computer Aided Design
from ITT Technical Institute. In addition to these technical degrees,
Rich is a Certified Application Engineer for Structural Dynamics Research
Corporation and a Level II Member of the Microsoft Developer Network.
A vital member of the training department at N8-3D Solutions, Rich has
over 12 years of teaching experience at an Autodesk Training Center
(ATC) and has been instrumental in developing curriculum and special
computer interfaces for the physically challenged based on individual
needs. He is the former CAD Department Chairman for the University of
Advancing Computer Technologies and has taught a variety of classes
including AutoCAD, 3D Studio, Designer, AutoLISP, AutoCAD Map, Visual
Basic Programming, Database Integration, chemistry and math.
Rich’s professional accomplishments include:
Attained the Autodesk Developers Status and the
Autodesk Service Center designation for ESS Connect (Autodesk VAR) by
being certified as Autodesk Level II instructor in combination with
the CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) program;
Developed ShastaCAD – a third party CAD package
that builds and prices swimming pools;
Developed QDATA for Arizona Public Service – a
Visual Basic Program that tracks and reports all purchase orders, check
requests, credit cards, utility bills and contractor payments;
Developed Cavamatic – a microchip package generator;
Designed and built CADLine for the University
of Advancing Computer Technology – a long distance telecommunication
learning tool;
Contract drafting for Intel, Honeywell, Allied
signal, Motorola and more;
Lectured at Motorola University on AutoCAD and
3D Studio.
Rich is currently working as the software development manager for Pacific
Gas & Electric using AutoCAD 2000, AutoCAD Map 2000 and JET – custom
software for the utility industry. He is also in the process of becoming
Windows NT certified and is working on becoming a Microsoft Certified
Technician.
