Local CAD Professionals Place 
in AutoCAD “Top Gun”   Competition

TEMPE, AZ, September 14, 1999 --- Rich Charmack, Software Development Director for N8-3D Solutions, Inc., and Robert Bess, President of N8-3D Solutions, Inc., recently placed second and third in the Top Gun Competition at Autodesk University in San Francisco.  Approximately 600 individuals attended the three-day educational and networking event sponsored by Autodesk, Inc.

The first round of competition began with contestants answering 10 AutoCAD questions written by CADENCE Technical Editor Peter Sheerin.  The top 40 scorers were announced on the last morning of classes.  The final Top Gun shoot-out took place at noon in a computer training lab.  The top ten scorers then moved on to the final phase of the competition that included hands-on AutoCAD skills.  The contestants were given a hard-copy architectural drawing and were asked to complete as much of the CAD drawing as possible in ten minutes.  The judges reviewed all the drawings and named Rich Charmack second and Robert Bess third.  The first place winner, Robert Bell with MW Consulting Engineers, received the Autodesk software of his choice and will be recognized in the next issue of CADENCE Magazine.
